Why should I register with SECP? - The liabilities of the business will be restricted only up to the assets of the company and will not affect any personal assets. - The company will be able to raise finance through bank loan, Public offering etc. - The company will be eligible to tender for different projects in public and private sector. - The company will be a separate legal entity with its own unique name and brand. - The company can have huge tax benefits especially in withholding taxes under new rule by the government. - The ownership of the company becomes marketable resulting in an easy mode of entry and exit in case of any disputes etc. 2. How to obtain Name Availability for a new company. - Sign up and create User ID at SECP eservices portal. - Fill in all required information and attach necessary documentation. - Submit prescribed SECP fee. - An Email will be received by Concerned CRO whether the name is available or otherwise. - In case of any follow-up question resolve the registrar concern and follow the whole process again. 3. Is it better to proceed with registration manually or though SECP eservices. SECP encourage a paper fee working environment and all registration fees are half in case of using eservices and the process will be more speedy and convenient. So this is highly recommended to use SECP eservices. 4. How can an already registered company start using SECP eservices? An already registered company can write an application to Deputy Director MIS at SECP head office on their letter head duly signed by CEO and one other director or company sectary along with copies of their CNICs. The company shall mention a POP3 email address on application and after verification the eservices user ID and password will be emailed on the same address. 5. What is a POP3 email address? Post Office Protocol version 3 (POP3) is a standard email protocol used to receive emails from a remote server such as abc@sme.org.pk and public email servers like Hotmail and Gmail etc. are not acceptable.
